On June 3, 2023 China concrete and cement-based products industry annual convention was held in Nanjing. The theme of the convention is “Developing in an innovation-driven and adaptable way--Accelerating the alteration in quality, efficiency, power and model”. Nearly 2,000 representatives from the whole industrial chain of the national concrete and cement-based products industry, related service fields, and large users of the market terminal enterprises attended the industry convention and various activities. The 2023 China Concrete Exhibition held in the same period with the convention has attracted more than 20,000 professionals from the upstream and downstream of the industry chain to come to see the exhibition.

The convention is organized by China Concrete & cement-based products Association, and supported by China West Construction Construction Group Co., LTD., Jianhua Construction Materials (China) Co., Ltd., Sany Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., Qingdao Hicorp Group Co., LTD., Beijing Building Materials Academy of Science Research , Beijing Guo Lei Law Firm and Steel, Construction & Concrete Association of Jiangsu Province.

In order to promote the innovative development of the industry, the association attaches importance to and continues to host a number of national industry competition activities. Through the competition we accelerated the popularization and promotion of new concrete materials and new applications, so that the innovation results of the industry were more concerned by the downstream application fields and society, and the influence of the industry and social reputation were enhanced.

A grand ceremony was held to present awards to the gold medal winners of the “National Inspection Cup”6th National Concrete Architectural Art Design Competition, the first prize winners of the 13th National Concrete Design Competition of China West Construction Cup and the first prize winners of the colleges and universities.

2022 is very special year, and the concrete and cement-based products industries are struggling to move forward, leaving a series of determined footprints. Despite the pressure inside and outside the industry, the industry has made great achievements, especially in the process of building a new development pattern and establishing new advantages the industry. In this process, large enterprises have assumed a responsibility and responsibility. The convention awarded the licenses to these enterprises that have contributed to the industry.

On the basis of investigation and statistical analysis of large enterprises and key enterprises in ready-mixed concrete, precast concrete components, precast concrete piles, prestressed concrete cylinder pipe, concrete poles, the Association released the list of the top ten enterprises in various industries in 2022 based on the output, and the awarding guests awarded the top ten enterprises.

The convention awarded the 15 units that won AAA credit evaluation in 2022.

The convention awarded the artificial stone technology and engineering innovation center of concrete and cement-based products industry jointly established with China Resources Cement Holdings Limited (CR Cement); Awarded the sprayed concrete vocational skills training base jointly built with Jiangsu Hollette New Materials Co., Ltd.

Outstanding engineer in the industry is the highest honor established by CCPA to commend scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions to the industry's innovative development and technological progress. Wu Pingping, general manager of Zhuhai Traffic Survey and Design Institute Co., Ltd., was awarded the "Excellent Engineers of China's Concrete and cement-based Products Industry in 2022".

Zhu Baoliang, chief economist and researcher of The State Information Center, gave a keynote speech entitled “Current Economic Situation and Economic Policy in 2023” at the convention. Zhu Baoliang is a senior economist in China. He has participated in the discussion and formulation of China's economic policies for many times and has a deep foundation in analyzing and predicting the economic situation. He used vivid examples and detailed data to analyze the characteristics of the current economic situation and the main trends of economic policies this year for the delegates.

Honorary President Xu Yongmo gave a keynote speech to the convention, named “Thinking about change, knowing change, adapting to change and innovating to lead high-quality development”. Xu Yongmo is a senior expert and scholar in China's concrete and cement-based products industry. Xu Yongmo said that this industry convention invited economists, entrepreneurs, scholars and experts to have extensive exchanges and in-depth discussions, which will certainly produce a wisdom consensus to promote the high-quality development of the industry. In the report, Xu Yongmo's initiative of “Playing the first move and changing into the New track” is refreshing. Xu Yongmo’s assertion that “concrete is the cornerstone of modern society which is indispensable” is also inspiring.
