Recently,SANY 408P electric mixer truck equipped with ADAS, Haistar intelligent advanced driving assisted system, has taken the lead in passing the real-vehicle test and certification of five regulations in the new GSR of the European Union, and it is the first electric construction truck product in China to obtain the latest WVTA certificate.

This marks that SANY's electric mixer trucks have obtained the latest market access permission from EU member states, further accelerating the process of SANY's globalization strategy and consolidating SANY's global leading position in the field of electric construction vehicles.

In 2019, the European Union enacted the General Safety Regulation (EU) 2019/2144 (the new GSR), which adds a number of new safety technology requirements aimed at enhancing the protection of vehicle occupants and vulnerable road users (pedestrians outside the vehicle, bicyclists, etc.), reducing traffic accidents and casualties, and ensuring that vehicles are equipped with a higher level of safety. The regulation stipulates thatfrom July 2024, all commercial vehicles registered in the EU must be mandatorily equipped with appropriate ADAS functions.

This time, SANY 408P electric mixer truck passed the five advanced assisted intelligent driving functions of the new GSR of EU, includingISA(Intelligent Speed Assist), DDAW(Drowsiness & Alertness Warning), MOIS(Moving Off Information System), BSIS(Blind Spot Information System), and REIS(Reversing Information System).

ISAis used to warn the driver when driving over the speed limit and instruct the driver to reduce the driving speed. According to regulatory requirements, the intelligent speed assist system should provide speed limit information function (SLIF) and speed limit warning function (SLWF) to the whole vehicle in the human-machine interface. Before the test,SANY’s ISA has been road-tested for more than 6,000 kilometers in ten European member countries, actual road distance traveled is 431km, the scene covers the city, the countryside, high speed, the accuracy of single-scene recognition is not less than 90%, and the comprehensive accuracy rate reaches 96%.

DDAWis a device that utilizes the driver's facial features, eye signals, and head motility based on the driver's physiological image to infer whether the driver is in a state of fatigue, and to provide alarms and take appropriate measures when the driver is fatigued.

MOISmonitors and informs the driver of the presence of pedestrians and cyclists within the vehicle's front proximity blind spot;BSISis used to monitor and alert the driver to the risk of collision in the right blind spot of trucks/buses when making a turn; andREISis used to assist in reversing, avoiding unwanted collisions with the real-time reversing image screen.

The test certification was carried out under the supervision of TÜV Rheinland, an international authoritative certification body, and the test results show that the SANY 408P electric mixer truck has high safety and reliability and meets the EU regulations and standards. At the same time, it is equipped with ADAS, Haistar intelligent driving advanced assisted diving system, which has the strong adaptability and expansibility, and it can be quickly transplanted to other host models.
