Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released theGuidelines for Equipment Replacement and Technological Transformation in Key Industries. It mentions that China will carry out large-scale equipment replacement in 27 key industries, and has set the targets to 2027.

These 27 industries include petrochemical and chemical industry, steel industry, non-ferrous metal industry, building materials industry, automotive industry, construction machinery industry, industrial robotics industry, industrial parent machine industry, and shipbuilding industry.

Among them: the building materials industry will focus on pollution reduction and carbon reduction, energy conservation and digital transformation, it will transform and upgrade equipment in the processes of mining, dressing processing, raw material preparation, kiln control, grinding and crushing, and update equipment for online monitoring, energy management and intelligent control, so as to achieve a continuous decline in the energy consumption per unit of the main products and in the intensity of carbon emissions. By 2027, more than 70% of cement, flat glass, building sanitary ceramics and glass fibre enterprises will achieve a high degree of automation in the whole production process., proportion of enterprises with digital transformation maturity level 3 and above reaches 20% or more, there will be a significant increase in greening and digitization of the industry. Changes involving cement and flat glass production kilns and production capacity need to be implemented first in accordance with the relevant policies on capacity replacement.

By 2027, the automotive industry will achieve a new level of production efficiency, energy consumption, environmental protection level and product quality of automobiles and parts.

By 2027, the supply capacity of the whole industry chain of industrial robotics industry will be significantly strengthened.

By 2027, as for the machine parent industry, the penetration rate of digital R&D and design tools above the scale will exceed 90%, and the rate of CNC of key processes exceeds 75%.

By 2027, the shipbuilding industry will increase the construction efficiency of high-end ship types such as super-large LNG carriers and high-end car carriers by 10%.
