SK hydroelectric power station, invested and constructed by China Gezhouba Group Construction Engineering Co., Ltd., is a long-tunnel, ultra-high water head diversion-type hydroelectric power station, located on the Kunhar River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan, 265km away from the capital of Pakistan, Islamabad. With a total investment of $1.962 billion, the hydroelectric power station has a water head of more than 900m, four impulse units installed, a total installed capacity of 884 MW and a total reservoir capacity of 13.45 million m3.

During the concrete pouring process, the technical service team of Overseas Division of Sobute New Materials Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Sobute), in cooperation with the construction unit, adopted self-developed water reducing agent technology to solve the technical problems encountered in the production of ultra-high-strength concrete with local low-quality ground materials, and utilized the water reducing agent with ultra-dispersed technology and viscosity modified technology to realize that the compressive strength of the high fluidity pumped concrete reached 100MPa, which was far beyond the normal standard, thus laying a solid foundation for the stability and safety of the SK hydroelectric power station.
