July 16th, 2018 the Kenya benchmark building, the Kenya Central Bank building started its construction by installing the prefabricated components which are made by China Wu Yi Co. Ltd. The structure of the building is constructed both by ready-mixed concrete and prefabricated concrete. The ready-mixed concrete will be poured on site for the vertical structure while the prefabricated concrete components will be installed mainly for the horizontal structures. The whole area of prefabricated components is about 13192 square meters, which include half precast beams, half precast slabs and prestressed hollow slabs. All the prefabricated components will be produced by China Wu Yi Industrialized Company in Kenya, while China Wu Yi is also in charge of the installation.

The application of prefabricated components in ultra high buildings such as Kenya Central Bank Building will not only improve the production efficiency and safety levels, but also help with the energy saving and environment protection. The project is expected to increase the competitveness and brand influence of Chinese enterprises in the construction market of Kenya.
