At the beginning of the new year, in the construction site of Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway Xihoumen road-rail dual-purpose bridge pier No.5, after pouring the final concrete in the pier No.5 bored pile with Sany S-class 71-meter pump truck, all the 18 6.3-meter diameter bored piles of No.5 main pier were filled with concrete, the construction of Xihoumen road-rail dual-purpose bridge, the world's largest span road-rail dual-purpose bridge and the world's widest sea-crossing bridge, is already at an advanced stage.
At the beginning of the new year, in the construction site of Ningbo-Zhoushan Railway Xihoumen road-rail dual-purpose bridge pier No.5, after pouring the final concrete in the bridge pier No.5 bored pile with Sany S-class 71-meter pump truck, all the 18 6.3-meter diameter bored piles of No.5 main pier were filled with concrete, the construction of Xihoumen road-rail dual-purpose bridge, the world's largest span road-rail dual-purpose bridge and the world's widest sea-crossing bridge, is already at an advanced stage.
The pouring project is quite difficult, given that each bored pile on the main bridge pier requires a one-time uninterrupted pouring of 3,000 square meters. After careful selection, headquarter of the project decided to use Sany’s equipment to complete the construction. Sany quickly dispatched 4 sets of S-series ace pumps (56m to 71m) to form a pump cluster to participate in the construction.
It is understood that the Xihoumen road-rail dual-purpose bridge solves the historical problem of Zhoushan’s inaccessibility to railroads, having great significance in promoting the development of tourism in Ningbo of Zhejiang Province, realizing the urban integration development between Ningbo and Zhoushan, accelerating the integration of Zhoushan and Ningbo into “the Belt and Road Initiatives” and the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
