In order to assist outstanding enterprises to be “going global”, China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (CCPA) actively and deeply serve the economic and trade between enterprises and the “Belt and Road” regions, through the establishment of a daily contact mechanism with the embassies of the “Belt and Road” countries in China, etc.   

Recently, Mr. Yusuf Timol, Minister Counsellor of the South African Embassy, and Mr. Mario C. Tani, Vice Commercial Consul of the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai, accompanied by Mr. Zeng Qingdong Secretary-General of CCPA, successfully visited Zhejiang HGA Zetong Building Energy-saving New Materials Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “HGA New Materials”). Mr. Li Kekuan, President of HGA New Materials and Mr. Xiong Haidong, Vice President of HGA New Materials, had a pleasant exchange with Mr. Yusuf Timol and Mr. Mario C. Tani on topics of mutual interests. Ms. Huang Ling, Director of the CCPA’s Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Department, Mr. Xie Liangliang, Director of Foreign Trade of HGA New Materials, Mr. Zhang Jie, Marketing Director of East China, and Mr. Wang Wei, Director of the HGA President’s Office, accompanied this visit.

On the afternoon of August 17, Mr. Yusuf Timol, Minister Counsellor of the South African Embassy, arrived at HGA New Materials. Accompanied by Mr. Xiong Haidong, Vice President of HGA New Materials, Mr. Yusuf Timol visited the autoclaved aerated lightweight concrete (AAC) product production line, the R&D Center and HGA Exhibition Hall on site; a more vivid and profound understanding of aerated concrete products. In the subsequent discussion and exchange, Mr. Li Kekuan, President of HGA New Materials and his colleagues introduced to Mr. Yusuf Timol of the company profile, main business and business model, HGA advantages and competitive strategies, company development plans and international market development plans. Mr. Yusuf Timol also introduced in detail the investment environment and investment policies on South Africa, especially the latest situation of South African construction industry, and issued an invitation to HGA to visit and invest in South Africa. The South African government welcomes direct investment from Chinese companies, regardless of the product, technology, equipment or the establishment of a factory, and promises to provide a full range of support and guidance.

On the afternoon of August 18th, Mr. Mario C. Tani, Vice Commercial Consul of the Philippine Consulate General in Shanghai arrived at HGA New Materials. Accompanied by Mr. Xiong Haidong, Vice President of HGA New Materials, Mr.Tani visited the autoclaved aerated lightweight concrete (AAC) product production line, the R&D Center and HGA Exhibition Hall. He asked with interest on a batch of AAC plate products ready to be exported to the Philippines on site. In the subsequent discussion, Mr. Li Kekuan, President of HGA New Materials, introduced the business  situation of HGA New Materials to Mr. Tani, Mr. Xie Liangliang, the director of foreign trade, introduced HGA New Materials in detail, especially the development plan for the ASEAN market. Mr. Tani also introduced the investment environment and investment incentive policies of the Philippines, and warmly invited HGA to go to the Philippines for on-site inspections. Even during the epidemic, the two parties can communicate through video and emails to make preliminary investigations and related preparation work; the Vice Consul further promised that he and all his colleagues in China will provide all-round support and guidance. Secretary-General of Mr. Zeng Qingdong introduced the characteristics of aerated concrete products and industry conditions to the diplomats at the meetings, as well as the leading position of HGA New Materials in China, and said that CCPA will do its best to build a bridge between the enterprise and the "Belt and Road" countries, and provide personalized customized services. Under the support of diplomats, HGA New Materials may successfully open the African and Asian markets in the future.

Through the trip, CCPA further learned that HGA New Materials was established in 1976 as a subsidiary of Forchn Holding Group. It is not only the domestic manufacturer of aerated concrete building materials with the longest history, but also the first domestic company to use professional panel production lines to produce AAC panels, and the first domestic company to promote the application of AAC panels in civil buildings. The Hangzhou production base of HGA New Materials can produce 200,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete slabs, 600,000 cubic meters of aerated concrete blocks, and 15,000 tons of high-precision PC (precast concrete) mold tables.
