Along the 1,300-kilometer Kazakhstan-portion of the Central Asia-China Gas Pipeline, dozens of security posts are allocated. The two sides believe that it is necessary to further develop the infrastructure for natural gas transportation, promote the modernization of existing natural gas pipelines and increase their transportation capacity. Route A and B start from the border between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, runs through Turkmenistan and into southern Kazakhstan, and then enters the Alashankou in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.
