The completion of landmark projects of the Great Mosque of Algiers (also known as the El Jedid Mosque), R&F Princess Cove in Malaysia and Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway in Indonesia also reveals the firm and powerful steps of China West Construction Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as CWCG) going overseas. Since participating in the El Jedid Mosque in Algeria in 2012, CWCG has adhered to the "going global" strategy, followed the "the Belt and Road Initiative", and actively integrated into the "big overseas" strategy of Chinese architecture, successively exploring international markets such as Algeria, Malaysia, Indonesia, Cambodia and Thailand and participating in nearly 100 overseas engineering projects.
While accumulating overseas concrete production and management experience, combining with domestic construction industry experience and according to overseas market demand, CWCG have overcome objective problems such as different standards and shortage of floor materials, and made continuous self-breakthrough.
In Algeria, CWCG undertook the Great Mosque of Algiers, Air Command, Naval Command and other concrete supply tasks, among which the ultra-high pumping concrete used in the Great Mosque of Algiers hit the record of the local concrete pumping height and application strength; The bulletproof concrete supplied to the Air Command project filled the technical gap in Africa and won unanimous praise from both the owners and constructors.
In Indonesia, relying on excellent technical reserves, CWCG cooperated with WIKA Group, the largest local state-owned construction enterprise, and successfully signed the sales contract of concrete for the Jakarta-Bandung High Speed Railway, which is the flagship project of "the Belt and Road" of 405,000 square meters concrete. At the same time, according to the construction requirements of high-speed railway, technical problems such as high durability, low hydration heat and High slump retention were overcome in the Tropical Marine Climate in rainforest environment, and C50 prestressed durable concrete pouring was successfully completed by continuously optimizing the mix proportion scheme, which was fully affirmed by the local government and owners.
In Malaysia, CWCG has successively overcome the key technologies of special concrete production with complex production processes, such as temperature-controlled concrete and foam concrete, formulated several technical schemes of special concrete construction, and successfully applied the above-mentioned special concrete technologies to the "the Belt and Road " star project-- R&F Princess Cove Project. In this project, the local team overcame the problems such as high concrete grade, large structural heat dissipation coefficient and complicated construction, and produced more than 20,000 cubic meters of temperature-controlled mass concrete for C50 transfer floor by using 1,500 tons of crushed ice, creating a record of the largest construction area and the shortest pouring time for transfer floor in Southeast Asia.
In order to build an overseas business industry chain with “one body, two wings” and obtain powerful resources and technical support in the international market competition, CWCG successively built admixture plants in Indonesia and Cambodia and officially put them into production in 2017, which opened up a new front for overseas market development with high technical content and strong support, and became another powerful boost for CWCG for its larger and stronger overseas undertakings.
CWCG always insists on planning the layout and rhythm of overseas development from the strategic overall situation, unswervingly responds to the "the Belt and Road Initiative", integrates into the development pattern of "dual circulation strategy", strengthens the strategy of "elite going overseas and entity operation", stay committed to culture as the soul, and strives to create a harmony of overseas development. Facing the new "14th Five-Year Plan" journey, the construction of CWCG will follow the general idea of "intensive construction in Southeast Asia and breakthrough in the Middle East and North Africa", take technological innovation as the direction, develop concrete and diversified business construction layout, strengthen localized operation and management. It develops from point to surface, form a layout covering key country markets along the "the Belt and Road" countries, and strive to achieve new breakthroughs in overseas undertakings.
