2024 China Concrete Exhibition

After a year's absence, we met again in Nanjing. For five consecutive years, China Concrete Exhibition was held at the Nanjing International Expo Center, along with 2024 China Concrete and Cement-based Products Industry Annual Convention. This is an annual carnival for the industry, which has become the hottest event in Nanjing Jianye District at the end of May.

Organized by China Concrete and Cement-based Products Association (hereinafter referred to as CCPA), China Concrete Exhibition, through years of efforts and continuous building, has become a platform for displaying the whole industry chain covering the upstream and downstream of the concrete and cement-based products industry, including ready-mixed concrete, cement concrete pipe and box culvert, assembled building, ultra-high-performance concrete, 3D-printed concrete, eco-concrete, decorative concrete, concrete admixtures, green and high-performance special mortar, concrete equipment and so on. It builds up the remarkable advantages of supporting the industry, leading science and technology, promoting exchanges, serving enterprises and business negotiations, which plays an irreplaceable role for the high-quality development of the industry. As an important exhibition in the concrete and cement-based products industry, 2024 China Concrete Exhibition was held from May 31st to June 2nd.

Every year at China Concrete Exhibition, we see industrial leading enterprises, flagship enterprises, and single champion enterprises become the mainstay of the show, and this year was no exception. Every year, the content of the enterprise display is changing, the latest products and technologies show that the enterprise's scientific and technological progress has not stopped. Numerous companies with distinctive characteristics have made their presence felt at 2024 China Concrete Exhibition by focusing on the theme of "technological innovation, green and low-carbon, intelligent development". China Concrete Exhibition has also become an authoritative channel for information exchange in the concrete and cement-based products industry.

Under the background of economic globalization, economic cooperation and technical exchanges between countries are getting closer and closer. CCPA has always been committed to taking the road of high-quality development, strengthening international cooperation, leveraging the resources of CCPA, and setting up multiple platforms to help enterprises “go out” and attract foreign enterprises to “come in”. 2024 China Concrete Exhibition specially invited a delegation of nearly 30 people organized by American Concrete Institute (Singapore Chapter) to conduct exchanges and discussions with enterprises willing to explore the ASEAN market and carry out technological and business cooperation at the site.

A 30-member Brazilian delegation also came to the Exhibition to conduct technical exchanges and procurement business negotiations on precast concrete technology and equipment, brick-making technology and equipment, 3D printing technology and other contents.

In addition, 2024 China Concrete Exhibition also attracted representatives of professional associations, industry experts and enterprise representatives from the UK, France, Japan, Germany, UAE, Russia, India, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand and other countries to visit and exchange ideas.

Members of the delegations from Singapore and Brazil will also participate in the Third Belt & Road Forum in the afternoon of June 1st. Experts from the delegations will share their views on green building and sustainable development, low carbon concrete technology and other related topics.

Three professional competitions

were held on-site

At the exhibition site, the National Concrete Design Competition, the National UHPC Design & Customization Competition, and the National Concrete Admixture Application Technology Competition started at the same time, which gained a lot attention, and the forum area in Hall 4 and Hall 5 of Nanjing International Expo Center has become the most bustling place of the exhibition.

The 14th National Concrete Design Competition, with the theme of "Lightweight and High Strength: Concrete Proportion Design Based on Concrete Strength and Density", is open to enterprises engaged in the research, manufacture and construction of concrete materials, as well as technicians, technologists and students from universities and research institutes.

As a new generation of engineering structural materials and functional materials, UHPC brings many new structures, products and applications. The third “Co-Nele Cup”, the National UHPC Design & Customization Competition, is still based on the theme of "UHPC Bouncy Ball Design and Customization", in which UHPC bouncy balls are designed and customized according to the required dimensions and weights, and the performance tests of "bounce" and "lightweight and high-strength" are carried out at the site of the competition.

Admixtures are indispensable raw materials for concrete industry. The Second “Co-Nele Cup” National Concrete Admixture Application Technology Competition, with the theme of "Evaluation of Admixture Viscosity-Reducing Performance and Cement Adaptability under Low Water-Binder Ratio", evaluates the quality and performance of admixtures by examining their viscosity-reducing performance and adaptability to cement under low water-binder ratio.

The three competitions adhere to the principle of "openness, fairness and impartiality", and all of them have set up evaluation committees and arbitration committees.

The exhibition lasted for 3 days and numerous activities were held every day, which is one of the characteristics of China Concrete Exhibition, attracting many professional visitors to learn, exchange and visit.

On the opening day of the exhibition on May 31, the "Cross-Strait Concrete Technology Development and Application Forum" organized by Ready-Mixed Concrete Branch of CCPA and co-organized by Taiwan Construction Research Institute, Taiwan Society for Circular Economy, CCPA Ultra-High Performance Cementitious Material and Application Branch of CCPA, Concrete Intelligent Manufacturing Industrialization Committee of CCPA was successfully held. Zhang Junhong, Project Manager of Taiwan Construction Research Institute, conducted an overview of the concrete situation in Taiwan and the application of big data analysis for proportioning design. There were also five exciting reports presented.

From June 1 to 2, many other activities were held in Hall 4 and Hall 5 Forum Area. The "Forum on Green, Low-Carbon and Sustainable Development of Concrete Industry", jointly organized by Ready-Mixed Concrete Branch of CCPA and Beijing Guojian Lianxin Authentication Center Co., Ltd. The forum discussed the theme of "Discussion on Policies and Paths for Green and Low-Carbon Development of Concrete for Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals".

Standards is an important part of the development of the industry, June 1, Hall 5 Forum Area held public interest training on a series of standards related to concrete, inviting Liu Chen, Deputy Secretary General of the National Cement Products Standardization Technical Committee, to give a lecture on the current situation and development of China's cement standards, as well as the interpretation of the provisions of GB175-2023 "Common Portland Cement" standard.

The 3rd Concrete Art Industry Development and Technology Innovation Forum will be held in the Forum Area of Hall 4, with the theme of "Art Concrete–Enhancing Space Aesthetics, Renewing City Vitality", focusing on the development of domestic concrete innovative products in the new economic form, aiming at strengthen the innovative application of concrete art industry around the concepts of functionality, aesthetics and low-carbon development, and carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in terms of new products, new technology and new equipment.

At present, the digital economy is promoting traditional industries to high-quality development. Tonglian Digital Technology Co., Ltd. is committed to building an industrial Internet platform for the whole concrete industry chain services, providing customers with digital solutions for the whole chain and the whole scene. Tonglian Digital Technology Co., Ltd. will hold a collection activity on June 1st. On-site technicians will share "Innovative Application of Digital Platform in Concrete Industry Chain". At the same time, Tonglian Digital Technology Co., Ltd. has joined hands with Jiangsu Sobute New Materials Co., Ltd., Suzhou Concrete and Cement Products Research Institute Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Realstrong Steel Fiber Co., Ltd. to conduct a collection and procurement activity for products.

In recent years, wind power technology innovation is changing rapidly, in the face of new application needs, Ready-Mixed Concrete Branch of CCPA and Beijing Jiangong New Building Materials Co., Ltd. jointly held a “Technical Forum on Wind Power Concrete Application Development under the Background of Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality Goals”. The forum discussed the application prospects of high-strength and ultra-high-performance concrete in wind power tower construction with its unique properties of lightweight, high strength and low maintenance cost.

2024 China Concrete Exhibition will invite exhibitors and industry innovators to participate in the "New Technology, New Products, New Equipment" Promotion Seminar, which will help enterprises to develop the market in a targeted manner and open the door to the international development of the "Belt and Road". Enterprises made a 30-minute presentation to all customers. Yichang Phosphogypsum Comprehensive Utilization Industry Association specially held the investment promotion meeting for Yichang Phosphogypsum Products with the theme of "New Phosphogypsum Products Gathering Strength and Creating the Future Together".

On June 2, the last event of this exhibition was the Technical Exchange Meeting on the Creation of Green Intelligent Factory (Park) for Ready-Mixed Concrete, which was hosted by the Ready-Mixed Concrete Intelligent Manufacturing Industrialization of CCPA. The six special reports elaborated that the development of China's concrete industry is experiencing a change in development to a service economy-led transformation, and a change in development power to rely on technological progress as the main driver; the high-end development of ready-mixed concrete enterprises is gradually and steadily moving towards intelligent factories or green building materials parks with industrial cluster effects.

This year, on the basis of China Concrete Expo, CCPA, together with China Building Material Machinery Association, China Bricks & Tiles Industrial Association, Ready-Mixed Mortar Branch of China Building Materials Federation, Eco-Concrete Branch of CCPA, Cement Concrete Pipe and Box Culvert Branch of CCPA, Concrete Art Industry Innovation Committee, co-organize the professional exhibitions of various specialized fields in the same period and same place. China Concrete Expo is mainly for domestic and foreign market customers, to create the first Asia-Pacific international concrete exhibition and business brand.
